This notice covers the website metronome-bpm.com. It is run by Beat Squad LLC, 17 Garegin Nzhdeh str., Yerevan 0006, Armenia. The Beatmate Android app and our other apps are covered by the company's full Privacy Policy, which also applies to this site wherever this notice says nothing more specific.
In short
- There are no accounts and no sign-in. The site never asks for your name or email address.
- Every click and drum sound is played by your own browser. Nothing you play or tap is uploaded.
- We count visits with Google Analytics, so we know which tools people use.
What stays in your browser
The tools remember your settings (tempo, meter, grooves, color scheme and the like) in your browser's local storage, under names that start with bm.. They are never sent to us. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes them.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to count page views and a few events: when a tool is first started on a page, how long it plays, and when someone opens the Google Play link or shows the QR code. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_*) to tell visits apart and receives your browser's standard request data, such as your IP address, browser, device type and the page you came from. We see only aggregated reports. How Google handles this data is set out in its privacy policy; you can block it with any content blocker or with Google's opt-out add-on, and every tool keeps working.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare, which handles each request (including your IP address and browser details) to deliver the pages and to protect the site from abuse.
Links to Google Play
Links to the Beatmate app on Google Play, and the QR code that leads there, carry a short tag naming this site and the page you were on. If you install the app, it can read that tag to tell which page sent you. The tag contains nothing about you.
Your rights and contact
You can ask us what data we hold about you, and to correct or delete it, by writing to feedback@beatsquad.net or through the contact form. We reply within one month. The services we rely on are listed on our third-party providers page, and use of our sites is covered by the Terms of Service.
